Description
The Leucistic axolotl is the most iconic color form — translucent white or pink body with dark eyes. Axolotls are neotenic salamanders that retain their larval features throughout life, including their distinctive feathery external gills. These captive-bred juveniles are 3-4 inches and growing well. Axolotls are fully aquatic, living in cool water (60-68°F) and eating bloodworms, pellets, and earthworms. They are fascinating, low-maintenance aquatic pets.
