Description
The Sulcata (African Spurred) tortoise is the third-largest tortoise species in the world, reaching 80-150 pounds as adults. These captive-bred babies are approximately 2-3 inches and will grow rapidly with proper care. Sulcatas are herbivorous, thriving on grasses, hay, and leafy greens. They need outdoor space as adults — a heated outdoor enclosure in warm climates is ideal. Long-lived (70+ years), these tortoises are lifelong companions.
