Description
The Eastern Box Turtle is a native North American species prized for its beautiful domed shell with orange and yellow markings on a dark background. These are captive-bred juveniles, not wild-caught. Box turtles are unique in that they can completely close their shell using a hinged plastron. They are omnivorous and thrive in outdoor enclosures with access to both sun and shade. Long-lived (40-100 years) and full of personality.
